McCafé Loyalty Migration

What is the McCafé Loyalty scheme?
• Our on-cup coffee loyalty scheme is very generous, with ‘Buy 6 and enjoy your 7th on us’ as the current mechanic on cups.
• On our App, this is even more generous, with ‘Buy 5, enjoy your 6th on us’ as the mechanic.

When is McCafé Loyalty ending on the cups?
• McCafé Loyalty will be fully digital from the 1st of July, existing cup stickers will no longer be valid from this date.
• We have given customers three months’ notice to help mitigate any disappointment.

Why has the scheme changed?
• Our digital scheme is more generous for our customers.
• It allows customers to earn and redeem their free coffee by ordering ‘contact free.’
• Customers can order ahead on the App and still get their loyalty stamps.
• Customers can keep their stamps together in one place on the App, rather than risk losing their physical stickers.
• The digital scheme allows customers to redeem their free coffee at more order channels, rather than forcing them to use Front Counter or Drive Thru.

If a customer has less than six stamps at the end of the scheme, does he/she lose them? Is there anything they can do with them?
• No. I’m afraid those stamps will not be able to be used once the end date has passed however we’re giving customers three months’ notice that the scheme is ending to help them to collect and use the stickers by the end date.

What happens for customers who don’t have a smartphone?
• We understand that some customers may be disappointed that they cannot download the App. However, they can still get great tasting coffee made with 100% Arabica beans, with a Black Coffee or White Coffee for just 99p.

Can you earn McCafé Loyalty stamps without ordering ahead on the App?
• You have options on how you collect and redeem. If you want to order and pay contact free using the app you can do so. Your stamps will be applied automatically and reward drinks will show in the “Deals” section.
• However, if you don’t want to make a mobile order, there are three other ways to collect and redeem.

Show your QR code at Front Counter.
Scan the QR code at the Self Order Kiosk.
Say a 4 digit code at Drive Thru.

All you would need to do is download the app and register – once you’ve done that how you collect and redeem digitally is up to you.

Do I have to have the app to earn McCafé loyalty stamps and reward drinks?
Yes, from July you must have the My McDonald’s App to earn McCafé loyalty stamps and reward drinks.
However, you have options on how you collect and redeem. If you want to order and pay contact free using the app you can do so. Your stamps will be applied automatically and reward drinks will show in the “Deals” section.
However, if you don’t want to make a mobile order, there are three other ways you can collect and redeem.

Scan the QR code at the Self Order Kiosk
Say a 4 digit code at Drive Thru.

All you would need to do is download the app and register – once you’ve done that how you collect and redeem digitally is up to you.

What about Drive-Thru?
Before you set off on your journey, order your hot drink on the My McDonald’s App and we’ll automatically add a loyalty stamp onto your digital loyalty card!
Alternatively you can order at the order point, just remember to say your 4 digit code.

Will I still get a digital stamp if I buy a coffee as part of my meal?

Yes, all coffees will be recorded even if they are ordered as part of a meal.

If I buy more than one coffee on a single order will I only get one digital stamp?

No! Each coffee bought in your order will qualify for a digital stamp.
